When I first thought of this idea I had reached out to my good friend, Joe De Sena, at Spartan, I am sure some of you know who he is... lol.
I told him this would be a great way to give people the opportunity to continue to challenge themselves while traveling, earning medals, t-shirts and of course, Fit Aid.
I called it the "Sandbag Racing Series,"
The idea is to still give the people challenging obstacles with a sandbag and bodyweight movements, This would eliminate the traditional obstacles that would require sanitation and be a higher risk during the pandemic.
In short, everyone would have their own sandbag and that is all they would need.
Well I never heard back from Joe about getting it started, and I knew that this pandemic would continue to restrict most of the world, this was just the push I needed to start buying sandbags and scouting trails to see where the first event would be held.
My goal is to start small with a limited number of participants and grow the races from there.
My team and I plan to organize races all over the streets and trails of the world, delivering not only a challenging race, but a view of some of the most amazing places on earth.
Our first 5 mile event will be held on August 29, 2020, this will be the first of many to come.
Our number one goal is to get you out of your comfort zone and give you the opportunity to travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world.

2. Your sandbag must weigh out at the same weight you started with, if your bag fails the final weigh in at completion of the race you will be considered DNF (Did not finish).
Each race will include a minimum of 15 sandbag obstacles, or bodyweight movements.
The movements must be completed at each station in order to continue the race.

The Trail isn’t a traditional "Sandbag Series" race.
There are no Sandbag obstacles at these events. Instead, Trail events consist of all-natural trail runs in the world’s most incredible locations.
Regular season Trail races range from 10 mile to 50 mile, with races across the globe.
The Ultra is the ultimate test held in some of the world’s most beautiful yet challenging locations.
It is the ultimate test of strength and perseverance. If you can complete this, you can do anything.
